Legal Anchor: Uganda Warehouse Receipt System
Section titled “Legal Anchor: Uganda Warehouse Receipt System”The Uganda Warehouse Receipt System Authority Act (Act No. 14 of 2006) establishes warehouse receipts as negotiable instruments under Ugandan law. AsiliChain’s BatchToken on Mantle references the UWRSA warehouse receipt number, creating a dual-anchored asset:
- Ugandan statutory recognition on the physical side
- Cryptographic verification and DeFi composability on the on-chain side
